Dream Street is winning over audiences both on the radio and on the road. This boy band is busy singing its hit "It Happens Every Time" and other tunes on the "Go for It!" Roadshow, a stage show that encourages kids to stay in school—and away from drugs, tobacco and gangs. TFK tuned in with band member Matt Ballinger, 16, to find out more about how Dream Street's dreams are coming true.

| TFK: What makes Dream Street different from other boy bands? Matt: We're actually a boy band. We're actually young. I think a lot of fans can relate to us better than [they can relate to] 30-year-old guys. TFK: Ever think you'd be in a boy band? Matt: Not really. I sort of fell into it.
TFK: Your CD Dream Street went gold. How does that feel? Matt: That feels awesome, really cool. It’s really exciting.
TFK: You've been in show business for a long time. What was your earliest gig? Matt: A Christmas Carol in [New York City's] Madison Square Garden. I was 9 or 10. It was fun.
TFK: What made you want to get involved in programs like the "Go For It!" Roadshow? Matt: Right now we are role models to young people, even people our age. It's just good to enforce stuff that's useful.
TFK: What do you guys do when you're not busy singing? Matt: We rent a movie or play football on tour.
TFK: What do you like best when you're back in school as an 11th grader? Matt: Being with friends.
TFK: If you could have anything for dinner, what would you have? Matt: Mint chocolate-chip ice cream.
TFK: Do you have any pets? Matt: A dog, Juno (a Maltese).
TFK: What's the most disgusting thing you’ve ever eaten? Matt: String beans.
TFK: What's your worst habit? Matt: Chewing on my straw.
TFK: If you were stranded on a desert island, what one thing would you bring and why? Matt: A lacrosse stick. I really like lacrosse.
TFK: If you weren't an entertainer, what would you be instead? Matt: An investment banker.
TFK: What's your ultimate dream for Dream Street? Matt: Becoming as big as we possibly can be. Our goal is to do well.
