Save the Rain Forest! There is plenty of land on earth to grow crops without cutting down trees in the rain forest ["Ruining the Rain Forest," 10/31]! I will do as much as I can to save the rain forest and stop global warming, and will try to inspire other people to do the same.
Tale S., 10, MA
I learned a lot from the article about rain forests and how they affect the earth's climate. I hope that we can stop global warming soon and find a way to help the rain forests so that we don't lose them.
Felicity W., 10, NC
No one should touch the rain forests. Imagine if you were an animal and your home was being destroyed. Would you want it to stop? I think so! We should definitely have more protected areas for animals that live in the rain forest.
Samantha, 10, MA
I love art, so when I saw this article, I was immediately intrigued ["From Art to Action," 10/31]. A painting is a great way to show kids and adults that global warming is no joke. My favorite painting was the one by Charlotte Sullivan, of Britain. I thought the piece was really smart and creative. I want to paint my own painting now!
Julia, 10, MA
My junior Girl Scout troop actually went on a field trip to the opening of the Paint for the Planet exhibit at the United Nations. We met Gabrielle Medovoy and five of the other artists. It was such a great experience.
Nicole H., 10, CT
I think it's cool that kids all over the world are sharing their ideas about what might happen if we don't take care of our planet. It's really important that kids are a part of this because we are the future.
Julie H., 10, MA
Whoever thought that a 13-year-old could start a business that would be so successful ["Her Secret Formula," 10/31]? I was astonished at how self-motivated, determined and passionate Leanna Archer was about her work. Way to go, Leanna!
Brandon L., 13, NJ
When I read this article, I thought of how awesome it must be to have your own business at only 13. I think that if I had to tackle school and work at the same time, my head would pop off! My parents go to work every day, and just that can be stressful - and they're adults. I greatly commend Leanna for all the hard work she's done to make those hair products and sell them to people all over.
