The Khyber Pass provides passage through the southern part of the Hindu Kush Range. It connects Peshawar, Pakistan, to Kabul, Afghanistan. The famous mountain pass has served as a major trade route in Asia throughout the centuries. It has also historically been used as a military route. Today, visitors can travel through the pass by road or by rail.
