The Babuyan Islands include a total area of 230 square miles. Of the 24 islands in the group, the largest are Babuyan, Camiguin, Calayan, Fuga, and Dalupiri. Most of the residents are fishermen and farmers. Root crops, especially potatoes, are widely grown on these islands.
