Justin: Well, one of my dancers during rehearsal one day came up to me and said 'Justified' and I asked 'Why that?' and he said 'Well it seems like every time you do something, you always have a reason, you're justified!' I liked it, it had a nice ring to it.
TFK: Do you have a favorite song on your new CD?
Justin: Well, Senorita was fun to sing, but I guess I don't really have a favorite. When you write a bunch of songs they're like your babies. You don't pick favorites.
TFK: Did you write most of your songs?
Justin: Yeah, I wrote all of them.
TFK: Wow! So what was it like working on your first solo album?
Justin: It was fun! At first I was a little nervous about how the sound would come out, but once we did the first few songs, I was happy! We were moving in a good direction.
TFK: Is there anything that no one knows about you?
Justin: Nope. You all pretty much know everything about me.
TFK: What was your biggest challenge in doing a solo album?
Justin: My biggest challenge was to make sure that it was an honest piece of work, that the songs I did were who I am.
TFK: Were you aiming for a specific audience when recording your CD?
Justin: Not really, I just wanted to be me.
TFK: What is the Justin Timberlake Foundation?
Justin: The Justin Timberlake Foundation is a foundation that helps with music education in schools. When I was growing up, there wasn't a music program, so I decided to create this program for kids who might want to sing like I do but don't have a music program.
TFK: Are you planning to make a new 'N Sync record anytime soon?
Justin: Yes. Hopefully we'll get started on that next year. We'll be in the studios together.

Justin: Well the best part about being with a group is that you don't have to do everything alone. You're with your friends. But the best part about being alone is that you really don't have to answer to anybody. You can kind of just do what you want.
TFK: In a song, which element is most important to you; the lyrics, the beat, or the rhythm?
Justin: Well, to me the most important thing is the melody because you can say things a million times, but if you can't sing it, then it really isn't much of a song.
TFK: I know that you said a lot of people ask you 'If you weren't a singer, what would you be?' and you said you'd be lost. So when did you discover that singing was really the thing you wanted to do?
Justin: Well honestly...ever since I was a really little boy I always sang. So I figured out that that was sort of my calling. I didn't really have to think about it because I knew it was always there, that it's what I should be doing.
TFK: Who do you really look up to?
Justin: My mom.
TFK: And why her?
Justin: She's awesome! She's been there for me and taught me how to be who I am.
TFK: Does she cook good food?
Justin: Yeah she cooks pretty good food!
TFK: What's the best thing about being famous, and the worst thing about being famous?
Justin: The best thing is that you can reach so many people with what you do. The worst thing about being famous is probably the invasion of your privacy.
TFK: You've been working so hard on your album and doing things and going places. If you could go home and relax, what'd be the first thing you'd do?
Justin: Play golf!
TFK: (Jillian lets out a huge laugh.)
Justin: What? What's wrong with that? You have a problem with golf?
TFK: My subsitute Language Arts teacher plays golf on Wednesdays.
Justin: What? So I can't play? I can play. What do you like to do for fun, huh?
TFK: I don't know. I braid my hair.
Justin: Well I don't have any hair to braid so I play golf.
TFK: You can braid Mario's hair! He even has a song about it! 'Braid my hair, back in my...'
Justin: I don't want to braid Mario's hair.
TFK: Okay. So what are your plans for after the CD? Are you going to be in any movies or anything? I know you're in that one movie with the twin girls on Disney.
Justin: Right. I don't really know yet. At this point if I did any movies I'd have to take a break from singing, because I'd want it to be really good.
