While covering events surrounding the NBA All-Star game, I had a chance to chat with the legendary Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq is the 7-foot-1, 340-pound center for the Los Angeles Lakers and a nine-time All-Star selection. In Sunday's All-Star game, Shaq was named Most Valuable Player after scoring 24 points which led the Western Conference to a 136-132 win over the Eastern Conference. During our chat, Shaq shared his thoughts about everything from the best basketball teams to books!

TFK: What teams besides the Lakers do you think are the best teams in the west?
Shaq: Minnesota has a good team, Sacramento has a good team. I think all the best teams are here in the west.

TFK Kid Reporter Danny Stricker gets front and center with Shaq and a gaggle of reporters.
TFK: What size shoe do you wear?
Shaq: I wear size 22.

TFK: What has been your greatest moment in basketball?
Shaq: My favorite moment in basketball was when I was probably about your age meeting all my favorite people.

TFK: How many championships have you been in?
Shaq: The big 6.

TFK: What do you do when you're not playing basketball?
Shaq: I go to school. I’m working on my Master's right now in Criminal Justice.

TFK: What's your favorite book?
Shaq: My favorite book was something I read a long time ago called The House of Dies Drear by Virginia Hamilton.

TFK: What's the last book you've read?
Shaq: The last book I read was the California Penal Code (which outlines California's laws and the punishment for breaking those laws).
