The trip to South Africa made a difference in my selfishness and the way I act toward everyone. I’ve learned to give up things I really don’t need and to respect the things I already have. Such as when my sneakers get dirty, instead of looking forward to new ones, I think about taking care of them until they are ready for retirement. From the way I act now, I hope it never leaves me and I hope it will help me progress later on in life.
