Kelsey Darch

Kelsey Darch, a 10-year-old from Farmington, Connecticut, can often be found with her nose in a book. Her favorite authors are J.K. Rowling, Madeleine L’Engle, Gail Carson Levine, and Lynne Reid Banks. Kelsey loves to write herself, especially poetry and short stories.

Kelsey has a passion for music, everything from classic rock to classical. She plays the violin in the school orchestra and has recently begun studying the saxophone. She also performs with the Blue Ribbon Singers and the Estelle Jones School of Dance.

A big traveler, Kelsey likes to visit the nearby cities of Boston and New York, and in the summertime, the beaches of Rhode Island. Two years ago, Kelsey’s family traded homes with a family from southern France for the summer, and during that time, she also had the opportunity to visit Paris and Barcelona, Spain.

She’s a big movie buff, and also spends time riding her bike, e-mailing her friends, swimming, drawing and just hanging out. She has a big brother, Kyle, a big sister, Kendra, and a cat named “Me-Too.”
