Wicked Weather

Big snowstorms have dumped more than 15 feet of snow in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma since December. The latest blizzard dumped more than three feet of snow in the area.

Thirteen people died and thousands were left without electricity. The National Guard is helping deliver food and supplies. Last week, rescue helicopters dropped more than 900 bales of hay to feed the cattle. "There are probably 30,000 head [of cattle] out there that we're having to make sure we feed," says Major General Mason Whitney of the Colorado National Guard.

Ranchers are comparing the storm to a 1997 blizzard that killed 30,000 cattle and caused $30 million worth of damage.
