Looks a Lot Like Earth

Is there life beyond Earth? A new discovery makes it seem that other planets could have life too. Last Tuesday, astronomers said they have discovered a planet that could support living things. They named it Gliese†581c. This is the first time a planet with such promise has been found outside our solar system.

Like Earth, the planet is the right temperature for liquid water. Water is the key to life. But scientists do not yet know if there is water there. They will study Gliese 581c for signs of life.
