Who's News - Flying Fox
Scientists are going batty! A team from the University of Kansas was searching for new animal species in the Philippines. They found a bat they had never seen before. They named it the Mindoro Stripe-Faced Fruit Bat. A bat like this is called a "flying fox." It has reddish fur and a face shaped like a fox's. Scientists caught the fruit bat in a net as it flew between trees. Team member Jake Esselstyn told TFK, "We really don't know how rare this animal is."
