China Feels a Big Chill
Snowstorms pounded large parts of China last week. Cities lost power. Airports and highways were closed. Trains were canceled. The storms stranded thousands of holiday travelers. The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, begins on February 7. It is an important holiday. Each year, factories shut down and workers visit their families. "Everybody wants to go home," said one traveler. "My heart will be a little pained if I can't make it."
