Water is a valuable resource. But too much rain can cause flooding. The average yearly rainfall over a 30-year period for the United States is about 35 inches. These places receive almost double the average. Here are the country's wettest cities.

(2) Pensacola, Florida 64.6 inches

(3) New Orleans, Louisiana 63.9 inches

(4) West Palm Beach, Florida 62.5 inches

(5) Lafayette, Louisiana 61.8 inches
