What's the Story? Dr. Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) was once a respected paleontologist. But after publishing a book on time travel, he quickly became the laughing stock of the scientific world. Now, he's about to prove everyone wrong . . . even though it's by accident. During a routine cave expedition, Marshall, his loyal research assistant, Holly (Anna Friel), and their macho tour guide, Will (Danny McBride), are sucked into a vortex that sends them barreling through space and time. On the other side is a strange alternate world ruled by dinosaurs, ape people and the reptile-like Sleestaks. With danger lurking around every corner, will the trio make it back to the real world in one piece? And will anyone believe their tale? Did You Know? The original Land of the Lost TV show aired on Saturday mornings on NBC from 1974 to 1976.
