Reviewed by TFK Kid Reporter Morgan Mullings

Genre: Realistic Fiction

What's the basic story line?

Now that the hotel for dogs is closed, Andi and her brother, Bruce, have decided to start a newspaper for dogs. The Bow-Wow News is a huge success. But when Andi and Bruce post it online, frightening things start to happen. While their parents are away on vacation, a dognapper is on the loose and almost all of the neighborhood dogs go missing! To make matters worse, one of the missing canines belongs to Bruce. Andi and Bruce go door to door trying to figure out the strange disappearance of their beloved pets.

Are the characters believable?

The characters are very believable. The characters' expressions are described so clearly that I could almost see their sad faces when they heard about the dognapper. I could feel their excitement and joy for the newspaper. I could tell that they are sweet kids, who care not only about their own dogs, but about their neighbors' dogs as well.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best), how would you rate this book?

I would rate this book an 8, because it is very entertaining and has a good plot. I was hoping it would be a little more suspenseful, keeping me on my toes just a little bit longer. But overall, I enjoyed it, and you should too.
