What's the basic story line? When a wolf cub is kicked out of his den because he was born with a deformed paw, he is found by a bear who just lost her cub. The bear takes the wolf in, nurses him and teaches him survival skills. The wolf grows up and learns to survive on his own. When he eventually rejoins his pack and the other wolves do not treat him as their equal, he must find the courage to stand up for himself.
Were the characters believable? The characters were very believable. As I read, I could feel exactly how the wolf was feeling. The bear was extremely caring and always knew what was best for the wolf, much like a human mother.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best), how would you rate this book?I would rate this book a 9.5 out of 10. It wasn't my favorite book, but it was a close second! If you like stories with interesting dialogue and animals as main characters, then this book is for you. I was sorry when it ended, because I wanted to read more!
