Unlikely Furry Friends
It was love at first sight for two sets of infant twins at the Taman Safari Zoo, in Bogor, Indonesia. The one-month-old Sumatran tiger cubs and five-month-old orangutans have shared a room in the zoo's nursery for weeks. The animals play and cuddle together. "This is unusual, and would never happen in the wild," says zookeeper Sri Suwarni.
The friendship is not expected to last. Soon the animals' survival instincts will kick in. But for now, the babies remain the best of friends.
