Cities for Tall Buildings

In July, Burj Dubai, in Dubai, surpassed Taipei 101, in Taiwan, as the world's tallest building. The structure, which is still being built, is set to reach 2,684 feet. That's almost twice as tall as the Sears Tower, in Chicago, Illinois. Taipei and Dubai may have the biggest skyscrapers. But these cities are tops when it comes to having the most buildings with 12 floors or more.

(1) Hong Kong 7,678 buildings

(2) New York City 5,587 buildings

(3) So Paulo, Brazil 5,093 buildings

(4) Singapore 3,798 buildings

(5) Seoul, South Korea 2,871 buildings
