Mystery Person
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1809. I was a poet and editor. I am best-known for my mystery stories and tales of horror. I am considered the inventor of the modern detective story. Among my works are "The Tell-Tale Heart" and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue." My poem "The Raven" is often quoted.
