Drink Your Milk, Kids!

According to a recent study, millions of children in the U.S. may not be getting enough vitamin D. The vitamin is found in foods like milk and fish. It is needed to help kids build strong bones.

Children who get too little vitamin D could be at risk for certain health problems. Most doctors say that kids should get at least 400 units of vitamin D a day. That is equal to four cups of milk. "Getting a little too much is better than coming up short," said Dr. Jonathan Mansback, the study's leader.
