In her latest book, The Day of the Pelican, Katherine Paterson tells a touching story of a family's journey from war-torn Kosovo, in Europe, to the U.S. Paterson spoke to TFK Kid Reporter Claire Julian about the challenge of writing about another culture. "I did a lot of research to make the book as authentic as I could," Paterson told TFK.
