Girls Can Change the World
Sejal Hathi, 18, has had a passion for helping others since she was a little girl. In 2007, the California teen learned of the millions of girls in developing nations who don't have the same rights as boys. That's when she started Girls Helping Girls (GHG).
The organization connects girls worldwide and gives them the resources needed to make changes in their communities. GHG helps keep girls in school and teaches them skills.
Today, GHG has assisted more than 5,000 girls in 15 countries. But there is more to do. "I have a grand vision for the change I want to see," Hathi says. "I might not get to see it all, but I'll continue to work for it."
