A Hometown Hero

Katie Stagliano, 11, has a dream. "No child should go hungry," she says. With help from her classmates, in Summerville, South Carolina, Katie grows squash, broccoli and other crops for people in need. By the end of the fall harvest, she donated about 5,000 pounds of vegetables to homeless shelters. "I'm amazed that something so easy can make such a big difference in people's lives," Katie told TFK.
