One Girl's Mission
Jessica Markowitz, 14, of Seattle, Washington, sends 22 poor girls in the African country of Rwanda to school. Jessica started a charity called IMPUWE, which means "compassion" in Rwandan. She raised $40,000 by holding fundraisers.
Jessica received $15,000 from the World of Children awards program and plans to build a library in Rwanda. "One small act can do so much," she told TFK.
