Lemonade Warriors
When Lulu Cerpme, 10, learned about the tragedy in Haiti, she knew she wanted to help. Lulu suggested the girls challenge the boys to a "lemonaid war" to see who could raise more money. Her class, at the Wesley School in North Hollywood, California, sold lemonade and treats at local events. Who won the lemonaid war? It was a draw. The fifth graders raised $3,780. "We just were really glad to help," Lulu says.
