BIG PICTURE EDITION

Arctic Animals
Far north, near the North Pole, is a place called the Arctic. In the winter, ice covers much of the water and land there. Animals have special ways of surviving the cold.

Polar bears have thick fat called blubber and two layers of fur.

Musk oxen have hair that is three feet long.

Arctic foxes have coats that turn white in winter. Blending in helps protect them.
