BIG PICTURE EDITION
On the Trail
It was one cold journey! On March 3, dogsled teams began a race
across Alaska. Sled drivers, called mushers, and their dogs raced for
more than a week. They even slept outside, where it was as cold as five
degrees!
|

| | There were 64 mushers and over 1,000 dogs at the start.
|

| | Veterinarians checked the dogs at every stop.
|

| | Martin Buser won in record time! He was the first
ever to finish in less than nine days.
