BIG PICTURE EDITION

On the Trail
It was one cold journey! On March 3, dogsled teams began a race across Alaska. Sled drivers, called mushers, and their dogs raced for more than a week. They even slept outside, where it was as cold as five degrees!

There were 64 mushers and over 1,000 dogs at the start.

Veterinarians checked the dogs at every stop.

Martin Buser won in record time! He was the first ever to finish in less than nine days.
