Willow School, NJ - a green school

The energy-efficient, green school includes plenty of green features like rainwater harvesting, in which the rainwater is captured into a tank made of recycled plastic, and recycled to flush bathroom toilets and water plants. With nearly 40 inches of rain in a typical year, the school is able to capture nearly 40,000 gallons of water a year! (A gallon is the size of your average milk container at home. That's a lot of water!)
The school boasts more than just technical features. The class lessons include environmental education. Kids are taught to appreciate and protect the natural world around them.
