Did you know?:

  • The Arabian oryx, a white antelope native to Jordan, was declared extinct in the wild in 1972. Six years later, eight oryx were introduced to the Shumari Wildlife Reserve, near Azraq. Today there are about 80 of the animals in the reserve.
