The Steps to Elected Office
- Ask if anyone has ever run for an elected position. Ask what students think the process might be like.
- Students read Ben's Guide steps to becoming the President.
- Try sequencing the steps to office.
- Share with the class and create a sequence chart with class.
- Help guide the students to fill in any missing information or add extra steps.
- Students pair up to play the game, The Path to the White House.
- Think: Would you ever want to run for office? Why or why not?
