Learning About Energy

  1. Ask students to write about what they think energy is.

  2. Discuss student responses and chart ideas.

  3. Read the article, The Future of Energy as a class.

  4. Have students work in small groups to complete the worksheet, Power Up with Nature.

  5. Have students write about what they would like to turn into an energy source (i.e. garbage or vegetables). Encourage students to be as creative as possible and to explain how they would use the resource to create energy.
