A Learning Experience
Last week, U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings met with TFK Kid Reporter India Pasiuk. Spellings is in charge of the Department of Education. It is her job to help the President make sure students are getting the best education possible.
Spellings explained why she believes tests, arts classes and early reading are so important. She also told TFK the two special reasons for loving her job-her two daughters. "I'm the first mother of school children to have this job," she says. "So I am living it every day, like your mother is."
