A Stormy Season

Florida was struggling to recover from yet another powerful hurricane last week. Hurricane Wilma left 6 million people without electricity. Many had to wait in lines for hours to get water, ice and food. "It will be days or weeks before we are back to normal," said Carlos Alvarez, the mayor of Miami-Dade county.

This hurricane season is the busiest on record. Weather experts have run out of names for new hurricanes. They are now using letters from the Greek alphabet. This year's 23rd major storm, Tropical Storm Beta, was forming late last week.
