A Bear-y Cute Baby
Only five weeks old, and she's already famous. This polar bear cub was born at the Nuremberg Zoo, in Germany. As of last week, more than 2 million people had visited the baby bear's Web page. The zoo has received thousands of ideas for names, including Snow White. Officials said they would choose a name on January 18.
Zookeepers caring for the cub call her Flocke, meaning "flake," as in snowflake. She is growing, and has learned how to talk, sort of. Keeper Petra Fritz says the cub makes noises to express what she wants. A favorite? "I rub her tummy," Fritz says.
