A Tale from the Halls
It is almost Thanksgiving. Hart Evans, a sixth grader, loves school. But he hates chorus. After Hart shoots a rubber band during practice, the chorus teacher tells the students that they can put on the holiday concert themselves.
Andrew Clements tells this tale in The Last Holiday Concert. The book went on sale last month. Clements has written more than 50 books for kids. People are working to turn his book Frindle into a movie.
Clements gets his ideas from his experiences as a student, a teacher and a parent. "In a way, my life is a school story," Clements told TFK.
