TFK Q&A: AnnaSophia Robb
WHO: AnnaSophia Robb, 11
CLAIM TO FAME: She plays Opal in the new movie Because of Winn-Dixie, based on the best-selling book by Kate DiCamillo. Opal adopts a homeless dog, Winn-Dixie.
Q What is Opal like?
A Opal is a neat kid. But she carries a lot of sadness in her heart, because her mother left when she was very young.
Q How are you similar to the character?
A We both love our dogs and enjoy meeting people.
Q What kind of dog do you have?
A I have a puppy named Bella. She's a Maltese-poodle mix. She's sweet.
Q This summer, we'll see you as naughty Violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Did you enjoy filming that movie?
A I like trying different parts, including the bad-girl role. Violet is very competitive and rude. She chews gum loudly with her mouth open. It was a lot of fun playing her!
