It's A Three-Peat!
On March 14, Doug Swingley of Montana won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race for the third straight year. He and his dogs traveled 1,100 miles through Alaska-from Anchorage to Nome-in 9 days, 19 hours and 55 minutes. Swingley won $62,857 and a truck. He insists that he owes his good fortune to his dogs: "They are the athletes."
