An Unpoppable Salesman
Cub Scout Ryan Cenk, 10, set an eye-popping record last year during the Scout's annual fund-raising drive. Ryan sold $25,006 worth of popcorn, topping the previous national record by more than $5,000.
Sales really heated up when Ryan called a friend of his uncle. The businessman bought 450 tins of popcorn for his company. At $30 a tin, that one sale raised $13,500. "When I hung up the phone, my mouth was wide open from shock," Ryan told TFK. In all, he sold 10 tons of popcorn. Ryan was rewarded with a three-day trip to Disney World. What is his sales secret? "You just have to put your mind to it and try your best."
