Long-Distance Shark Tale
A great white shark named Nicole has swum into the record books. Scientists caught and tagged Nicole near South Africa. Just nine months later, she had traveled to Australia and back, a roundtrip of 12,500 miles! The epic journey may not be that unusual. Ramón Bonfil of the Wildlife Conservation Society told TFK, "There is still so much to learn about great white sharks."
