Peaceful Panda
The votes are in! Last week, the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., finally named its newborn panda. The winning name, Tai Shan (tie shon), means "peaceful mountain" in Chinese. It was the favorite of five names that panda fans voted on. In keeping with tradition, zoo officials waited 100 days before naming the cub. Tai Shan will make its public debut in December.
