Global Health 2005: Two Big Bills Take On Big Questions
Former President Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and the richest man in the world, had a conversation last Wednesday. So what did they talk about? One very important question: What should be done to help poor countries improve the health of their people? Both men are dedicated to this challenge.
The interview was part of the Global Health Summit hosted by TIME Magazine in New York City last week. "Demand that your government spend more money," Clinton told the audience.
"Getting people to give to world health is very, very important," Gates said. "Not just their money, but also their time."
