Growing Up with TS
Like other 12-year-olds, Seth Sonnenschein enjoys playing video games, wrestling and jumping on a trampoline. Seth has Tourette's syndrome (TS), a condition that causes tics, or uncontrollable movements, such as eye blinking and head shaking. Because of TS, Seth does things that he can't help. He exhales noisily, and he worries about keeping things superclean and neat. In a film on the HBO Family channel this month, I Have Tourette's, But Tourette's Doesn't Have Me, Seth and other kids talk about TS. Seth told TFK that making the show helped him realize that "kids with Tourette's aren't as different as people may think."
