TFK Q&A: Steve Lu
WHO: Steve Lu, 20
CLAIM TO FAME: TFK first met Lu when he was a freshman in college--at age 10! Now we're catching up with the whiz kid. Still an honors student, he's working toward a graduate degree in math.
Q How did you feel about being the youngest person ever to enroll in California State University?
A Aside from the media (attention), I felt what any freshman would feel: the thrill of taking in a whole new environment.
Q What was your biggest challenge in college?
A Not having a driver's license meant that my mom had to drive me to classes and events.
Q What are you up to now?
A I am in the mathematics Ph.D. program at UCLA. Being a teacher's assistant takes up most of my time.
Q Any long-term goals?
A I enjoy teaching very much and hope to inspire a new generation of students, like my professors have inspired me.
