Spotlight: Eliza Bennett
To get his seven naughty kids to behave, a dad at his wit's end hires Nanny McPhee, a no-nonsense nanny with hairy warts, a snaggletooth and a handy magic stick. After having chased away 17 other nannies, the bratty Brown kids have finally met their match.
So how does Nanny McPhee keep the kids in line? Well, it isn't with a spoonful of sugar. "She's the opposite of Mary Poppins," Emma Thompson, who plays the character, told TIME. The new movie is based on Nurse Matilda, a British children's-book series. Eliza Bennett, 13, plays Tora, the oldest Brown daughter. "The kids feel like they can drive (the nannies) away with tricks like leaving frogs in their beds," Eliza told TFK.
