Well, More Power to Them
Eight coworkers in Nebraska are having a ball. Last week, a group of seven men and one woman won the biggest jackpot of any lottery in U.S. history. After taxes are taken out of their $365-million Powerball prize, each winner will receive $15.5 million.
"I've been retired for about four days now," said Eric Zornes. He and two other winners quit their jobs after learning they had hit the jackpot.
Alain Maboussou, 26, plans to use the money to go back to school. Mike Terpstra wasn't so sure how to use his millions. "Everyone has dreams," he said. "Buy an island. Buy an airplane. In reality, I'm not a fan of flying, and I don't like water."
The odds of picking the winning combination were one in 146 million.
