Clue 1: I was born in 1454 in Florence, Italy. I was an explorer, a merchant and a mapmaker.
Clue 2: I went on several early voyages to the New World. At the time, many people thought that it was part of Asia. I was one of the first explorers to declare that it was a new continent.
Clue 3: In 1507, a German mapmaker named the New World America in my honor.
