Spotlight: Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts is getting a clue--lots of them, actually. The 15-year-old star of Nickelodeon's Unfabulous is filming Nancy Drew, a movie due out next year. Emma plays the resourceful teen detective from the book series. The novels were published starting in the 1930s but have been updated over the years to keep Nancy current.
Emma, whose broad smile might remind you of her aunt, actress Julia Roberts, admires Nancy. "She's so smart," Emma says. In the film, Nancy accompanies her dad on a business trip to Los Angeles, California, and ends up investigating the mysterious death of a movie star. Emma just started reading the novels. She says that her biggest challenge hasn't been filming the chase scenes. "It's the way Nancy talks," Emma told TIME. "'I'll be there in a jiffy.' A normal teenager would not talk that way today. It's so funny!"
