A Tribute to Trees
Mendel Hershkowitz, 10, from Ohio, says trees are terrific. His painting is the big winner of the Arbor Day Foundation's national poster contest. More than 74,000 fifth-grade classrooms took part in the contest. "I did not believe it," Mendel told TFK. "I am very happy!" On April 28, he will go to Nebraska City, Nebraska, to accept a $1,000 savings bond.
