Top 5 States with the Most Public-School Students
Nearly 55 million students will attend U.S. public schools this year. Wyoming will have the fewest studens, with about 88,000. Here are the states with the highest public-school enrollment.
1. California - 6.4 million students
2. Texas - 4.3 million students
3. New York - 2.9 million students
4. Florida - 2.5 million students
5. Illinois - 2.1 million students
