Pictures of a Watery World
Illustrator David Wiesner pictures a wild world in his new book, Flotsam. Flotsam is anything that floats. In the story, a boy finds a camera on the beach and develops the film. The photos reveal a strange world under the sea. Fish look like robots. An octopus sits on a couch and reads.
Wiesner tells his latest story through illustrations only. "I leave the words to the readers," he told TFK. "The story can be anything they imagine."
